Friedman most not too long ago served as counsel at the law firm of Jones Day, where he focused on restructuring matters and complicated bankruptcy instances. In this role, he was responsible for representing debtors, creditors and other parties in Chapter 11 cases. Prior to joining Jones Day, he practiced at the firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP, exactly where he represented Chapter 11 debtors and creditors. Earlier in his career, Friedman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Laura Taylor Swain in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York. Friedman earned his Juris Medical doctor from Harvard Law School, magna cum laude, and his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, magna cum laude.
